Planning for the Future of West Texas

Planning for the future is key to sustaining our community and economy. In 1997, the Texas Legislature mandated regular, statewide water planning to ensure that regions like West Texas have the water needed to grow and thrive. As the area’s primary raw water provider, CRMWD actively participates in the local regional planning processes. The District is an important member of West Texas’ Region F Water Planning Group, a coalition of representatives from 32 counties who meet regularly to focus on and prepare for our region’s future water needs.
